Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) licenses companies acrosss Canada to provide this service using its ERS home energy rating software. Obtaining an independent assessment from a licensed home energy advisor will help you and your renovator identify energy efficiency improvements you can carry out as part of your renovation project.
The Government of Canada also provides ecoENERGY Home grants to property owners who complete energy efficiency retrofits based on the energy advisors' recommendations.
